AN EXCEPTIONALLY RARE EDWARDIAN PERIOD SUFFRAGETTE 9CT ROSE GOLD HOOPED'TRILOGY' BRACELET C1910S, ORIGINAL BOX. A WONDERFUL ONE OF A KIND QUALITY ITEM & THE ONLY ONE AVAILABLE! 9ct rose gold Edwardian trilogy style hinged bracelet, with an inner width 6.2cm or 5.5. The outer width is 7.0 This bracelet has an excellent sprung clasp and is dressed with its original gold safety chain.

It dates from C1910, but maybe earlier? This bracelet features the rarer'trilogy' of G ive W omen the V ote crystal setting. The bracelet weighs 7.17g. Please note: This bracelet is of hollow construction and shows an aged soldered repair.

The repair is in gold and was completed some time in the distant past and is entirley stable. Please see detailed condition report & photos?

This is one of only 2 Suffragette bracelet we have ever seen and is unrepeatable at present! This type of jewel is exceptionally rare todays market and were not available commercially in period, so many would have been adapted from period jewels by jobbing jewellers, resulting in some unusual designs and a large range of styles. This bracelet is from an earlier period and would have been up to 10 years old when adapted and is of good quality, so a rare survivor? The glass stones featured are Peridot for Green, Amethyst for Violet, clear crystal for White, supposedly symbolizing the Suffragette movements mantra, Give Women the Vote?

These colours were first adopted in C1900 and the colours represent G reen for Hope, W hite for purity and V iolet for dignity. Is a high grade 9ct rose gold, which is fully hallmarked for Birmingham England and is of hollow hooped construction and is complete with a decorative set triplet of glass stones The bracelet has its original sprung safety clasp and gold safety chain. It has an internal diameter of 6.2 cm or 5.5 and external diameter of 7.0 It weighs 7.17 grams. It has an outstanding period patina and has been well loved in the past. This is the original antique presentation box in a wonderful morocco brown leatherette exterior and an unmarked navy blue velvet cushion and satin interior.

There is no damage to any of the components apart from surface scratching to the larger glass crystals and an aged related repair to the hoop. The repair is in gold and appears to be stable.

There issome age related delamination to the metal work in places, which does not detract from the items charm or wear ability. The condition of the box is above. All of our jewellery is carefully cleaned and checked before sale.
