Vintage 1923 Rolex 9ct Solid Rose Gold 28mm Art Deco 15 Jewels Ladies Wrist Watch on 9k Solid Gold Expanding Bracelet. A lovely ladies Rolex watch in 9ct rose gold fitted to a 9ct rose gold expanding bracelet strap. This watch is quite large even by todays standards, it measures approx 28mm wide (excluding winding crown) by 28mm high, a ladies current Rolex datejust measures approx 26mm diameter.

It is in good working condition and keeping pretty good time though it has stopped once, probably through lack of use but a service is probably required before use. The gold face is clearly signed with the name'Rolex, it has Arabic numeral indices in circular shapes and is in good condition with some faint marks in places, the crystal is in good condition with some faint marks in places. The rose gold case is fully hallmarked Wilsdorf & Davis (Rolex), London, 1923, 9.375 and has some faint marks in places, the rear case hinge is not working but the caseback clicks firmly on, the front hinged cover works fine. The rose gold strap is stamped to the rear of the middle link'9ct', it also is stamped'Easeon, English Made, 1 223, Prov.

It is spring loaded and is in good condition, there are a couple of tiny dents in places, the first link to the lower part of the strap is missing a small band of gold that does not affect its use (see photo 12). The movement is signed'Rolex 15 Jewels, Swiss Made. The watch measures approx 28mm wide excluding the crown by 28mm high by 8mm thick. The strap would comfortably fit a wrist between 6¼" - 6½"circumference, it is spring loaded and does expand though it only stretches to a maximum circumference of 7¾ inches, so please measure your hand at its widest part (probably around the knuckles and thumb) as the watch will have to pass over this circumference to be able to be worn.
